APARTMENT AMSTERDAM

ANNEKE: 'An oasis of calm in Amsterdam. I am still happy with the kitchen every day. It is beautiful, simple, stylish, and very serene, especially thanks to the various white materials. The transparent, thin, white curtains also make me happy every day; they match the moving water of the IJ beautifully. Plus, the glossy cabinet wall has the right energy!'

Anneke lives in a beautiful apartment on the sunny side of Amsterdam. All rooms have glass facades and overlook the water. The facades partly determine the colors in the house, which have a slightly greenish tint due to the glass. We took this into account when choosing the white tones.

I designed the kitchen and cabinets according to Anneke's wishes, and they were made by a furniture maker. 'It's just as if they've always been there,' says Anneke. As a designer, that is a great compliment; then I know it's right!
