CORINE: 'We are very happy with the result, and we would never have dared to do this ourselves.'

'It's great that you managed to get us this far!' said Corine when it was finished. 'It feels like a warm blanket around us, and contrary to what you might expect, it feels more spacious rather than smaller because of the color!'

I have known Corine and Harald for many years, and for them it actually became clear quite quickly what it had to be: homely, warm, secure, and a bit classic/traditional. I did search endlessly for the right shade of red in my 'color lab,' because that can also look very cheap and wrong, and it had to be chic and fresh, so not too red, too brown, or too burgundy.

In choosing the right shade of red, I am also dependent on the light; daylight as well as artificial light.
We tried out my color analysis in the room in various places to make sure that this is the right shade of red, with the right look and feel.

For the kitchen, I chose olive green. That is a shade of green that doesn't turn grey when it gets dark. The wall in the kitchen is a fairly dark wall that receives practically no direct (sun)light, so it makes the colors look greyish quite quickly. But with the right shade of green, the result is beautiful!

'It feels like a new house now!' Harald is happy too.
