Henri Varna I by Ecruis

Discover the irresistible charm of this beautifully bold and streamlined champagne cooler, enriched with refined Art Deco details that add a touch of glamour to any setting. With its substantial weight and elegant footed base, this distinctive piece reflects true craftsmanship and exclusivity.

What makes this cooler especially remarkable is that not one, but two identical examples are available, together with a matching shaker. All three pieces once belonged to Henri Varna, a renowned actor and director of the famous Paris casino in the 1930s, as indicated by the distinctive initials “HV”.

Every detail, from the striking Art Deco accents on the handles to the refined finish along the upper rim, reflects a timeless elegance that has endured through the decades. Discover the allure of a bygone era and bring a touch of history and luxury to your collection with this unique and beautifully crafted champagne cooler.

This cooler was made by the silver house Ecruis. The origins of Ecruis date back to 1867, when Adrien Céleste Pillon opened a silversmith’s workshop in the small village of Ecruis in the French department of Oise. His aim at the time was not to build an empire of fine silverware, but to strengthen his fellow citizens on a religious level while also securing the economic future of his birthplace.

In used condition.

Our products are vintage and therefore pre-owned, each with its own history and character.

You are always welcome to come and view the cooler in person in Zeist.
